Brookwood School

Since our founding in 1997, the CVA has been a fixture in supporting the Brookwood Elementary School in VA. Beach, VA. The CVA has continued the relationship the USS America (CV66) had with the school. From volunteers working with the children, to donations for special programs, supplies, merit scholarships and feeding less fortunate families of Brookwood at Thanksgiving.

Typically, during the holiday season we ask former crew members of AMERICA to donate to the school. 100% of the money raised goes to purchase food, clothing and gifts for the children of Brookwood. We have had excellent success with this sponsorship through the generous donations by our former crew members and their families.
